2019 Women Of Influence Summit | Unexpected Breakthroughs: Finding Your Voice

As we prepare for #Summit2019 we thought it would be fun for all you to get to know our speakers. So we've interviewed each one to share a little about them and what they are looking forward to at this years Women of Influence Summit! Read below to learn a little about Kayla Hall! 

Tell us about your education and career path:

I graduated from Saint Cloud State University with a degree in Communication Studies and Marketing. I started my career in the finance industry with Northwestern Mutual where I built a practice and served clients as a financial advisor for 5 years. During my time at Northwestern Mutual, I secured by series 6 and series 63 securities licenses plus my variable life and health insurance license. Then, I transitioned to Forrester Wealth Management, serving clients as an associate wealth management advisor. During my time at Forrester Wealth Management, I secured my series 7 securities license. Recently I transitioned to Bernstein Private Wealth Management as a Financial Advisor where I secured my series 31 securities license. 

What is the best part of your job?

Helping my clients feel empowered by providing them with information and first in class service to secure their futures and live their best financial lives . 

What’s one thing people would be surprised to know about you?

I have no idea?! I lived in Florida. I can play the piano. I used to play the violin. I'm deathly afraid of bats. I feel like I'm so boring. 

What is your favorite family tradition?

Having our lobster, steak, and crab leg dinner together on Christmas Eve.

What would you name the autobiography of your life?

Moving with the Good Lord's Speed 

If you could learn to do anything, what would it be?


Where is the best place you’ve traveled to and why?

I took a 10 day road trip out west with Field (my boyfriend) to Wyoming, Utah, Idaho, Montana, ND and SD. It was the best trip because I came back feeling completely renewed, appreciating God's beauty and the gift of life. 

What is your favorite meal? 

The seared tuna at Manny's Steak House with goat cheese cauliflower.

How do you keep a healthy work-life balance?

Is there such a thing?! 

What’s the best gift you’ve ever received? 

For my 16th birthday my parents bought me a yellow Monte Carlo.  

What book do you most often recommend to others and why? 

Girl, Wash Your Face by Rachel Hollis, Smart Women Finish Rich by David Bach and Dare to Lead by Brene Brown. These books provide life hacks and left me feeling empowered -- they helped transform my life and molded me into the person I am today! 

How has Next Monday been of value to you and your career?

Support. Accountability. Positivity. A tribe of amazing women who believe in me, lift my spirits up, instill strength, and give me courage to follow my journey. 

What is your favorite memory from past Summit events?

Meeting new people. Leaving with tangible resources and "things" to take and apply into my life. 

What are you looking forward to at the 2019 Women of Influence Summit?

Meeting new people. Having more/new resources and "things" to take and apply into my life. 

What are you hoping to share with fellow attendees at the Women of Influence Summit?

I will share tips and resources that have helped me (and continue to help me) along my journey to own who I am and what I'm capable of becoming. My hope is that these tools will help provide courage to keep moving forward, confidence to face fears and make those heart weighing changes, and the empowerment to "break through" to live out the life we were created for, where the wildest dreams can come true.
